White Plains Beach

This used to be Barbers Point until the Base Relocation and Closure (BRAC) a few years back. Now it is called Kalaeloa and it was divvied up between the Federal, State and City. So, the beaches are open to the general public and lots of folks come here to swim and surf. It is a great beach to learn to surf as there are about 4 breaks and you can work your way further out in the ocean as you get better.
Unfortunately, there were very few targets to dig and they were all coins, bottle caps, and pull tabs. I got 3 quarters, 4 dimes, 2 nickels and about 10 pennies.
Was a nice 1 1/2 hours with swimmers, boogie boarders, surfers and paddle boarders. I even stopped to talk to 2 of the “base” police. They asked me if I had any luck today and I showed them my pouch filled with bottle caps and told them I had gotten a few coins. We chatted for a few minutes and they wished me luck.
