Heavyweight Detecting

Went out to Nimitz Beach at Barber’s Point after work for about an hour today. Still trying to learn my Minelab Excalibur II 800.This is at an area that is used mostly by fishermen and campers. So, there was a lot of rubbish – bottle caps, tent stakes, and pull tabs. There were also quite a few lead weights (sinkers) and very little money.
I came away with 6 lead weights, 36 cents, a fishing bell and a Hot Wheels car.
Metal detecting is good exercise and gets better when you add additional weight as you are walking. An extra 2 1/2 pounds of weight can help burn some extra calories!
