Charger Woes

When I got to Thailand, I was loving the detecting at Koh Samet. But then, my charger died. Really – I killed it. This is the charger for the Minelab Excalibur II 800. In the instruction manual, it states that the batter can handle 110-240V – so I figured that the charger also covered the same voltage.
I was wrong. My bad for not checking – my charger is only 11o and Thailand is 220. So, I friend my charger. Bad on Minelab for not having a universal charger like every other electronic device I own.
I was able to find a replacement charger online that goes from 110-240 but they won’t ship to Thailand. Fortunately, I have a friend in Hawaii who ordered for me and had it shipped to his house. Then, he re-shipped it to me in Thailand and I sent him payment via Paypal.
So, I have to wait for weeks and pay double shipping just so I can get back in the water and hunt. In the meantime I will have to use my Minelab X-Terra 705 and my wife’s ACE 250. I can get them wet but only up to the control box. I am hoping to get the Excal charged up and hunt in the next couple of weeks with it.
